Settling In Session
Your child will be invited to a complimentary shortened session before your child begins with us, this will be an opportunity for you and your child to familiarise yourself with the setting and meet the staff, we will also endeavour to answer any questions you may have at this time.

Our day
Children are welcomed into the setting at 9.00am, Children are required to find their name tag upon arrival (this is our way of taking 'the register').
Once the children have found their name tag they are welcome to go and explore one of the areas. The quiet corner with books and puzzles, sensory, art, role play, maths and literacy areas and also the gross motor skills area.
At 9.15am we congregate to sing the good morning song and welcome all of the children.
Our snack bar opens at 10.00am where children can help themselves to  a snack and a drink. The children are offered a seasonal variety of fresh and dried fruit and vegetables.
Water is available throughout the morning.
We feel children learn through play and are able to move freely through the setting, however, children are also encouraged to join a group or sometimes a one to one with their key worker.
Long, mid and short term plans are overseen by our setting manager, individual plans are incorporated into our daily routine by the children's key workers and overseen by the setting manager. Please feel free to come in a speak to your child's key worker regarding any aspect of your child's learning journey.
We aim to go outside daily, please provide a warm coat, hat and gloves in the colder months and a hat and loose cool clothing in warmer months. Children will be able to access our outdoor area for a minimum of one hour a day, weather permitting we will allow free flow from indoors to out when weather permits.
Children are brought together for a ten minute 'carpet time' sometimes splitting them into age appropriate groups. We discuss our mornings events, celebrate any birthdays, sing songs and tell stories. Children are also welcome to bring in a 'show and tell' item relevant to the current theme.
At the end of the day, we sing a goodbye song...
"Goodbye everybody have a nice day,
Goodbye everybody have a nice day,
Goodbye everybody have a nice day,
See you again tomorrow!"
